Situated on the northeastern edge of South Africa, Klaserie Private Game Reserve forms part of the Greater Kruger National Park. It is one of the largest privately owned reserves in the country comprising 60 000 hectares of seemingly endless plains of unspoilt African bushveld. This scenic wilderness sanctuary is home to the renowned ‘Big Five’ as well as an impressive array of wildlife including: African elephant, black and white rhino, buffalo, African wild dog, lion, leopard, and an abundance of antelope. Visitors can look forward to enjoying a variety of outdoor activities such as guided walking safaris, game drives, and thrilling wildlife tracking excursions over and above the photographic side of things. The reserve is known for its incredible birdlife boasting over 500 species including the endangered Southern ground hornbill and the white-backed vulture
Itineraries
Day 1
KLASERIE PRIVATE GAME RESERVE
Morning rise with breakfast at your pre-safari accommodation before departing from OR Tambo Int. Airport, Johannesburg to Hoedspruit Airport (Eastgate) where an African Safari Guru representative will be waiting to Meet and Greet.
Upon arrival at Misava Safari Lodge, staff will be waiting to welcome you and show you around the lodge before you settle into your comfortable River View Suite before lunch is served.
Late afternoon/night game drive with a Mid-way stop for sundowners before return back to Misava Safari Lodge by night fall
Pre-dinner drinks while you sit around the boma fire or bar while you socialise and talk of your amazing wildlife sightings of the eve
Dinner is served under the African night skies (Weather permitting)
Day 2-3
KLASERIE PRIVATE GAME RESERVE
Early morning rise and meeting up at the main lodge with your guide and tracker for some coffee/tea and rusks before departing from camp on your morning safari experience as the sunrises and the wildlife are out and moving around with a pit-stop for some coffee/tea in between the game drive while Africa’s wildlife surrounds you in the wilderness.
Return back to the camp +- 3-hours later for a well-deserved breakfast and the rest of your day at your own leisure before lunch is served
Late afternoon/night game drive with Mid-way stop for sundowners before returning back to Misava Safari Lodge by night fall
Pre-dinner drinks while you sit around the boma fire or bar while you socialise and talk of your amazing wildlife sightings.
Dinner is served under the African night skies (Weather permitting)
Day 4
TIMBAVATI PRIVATE NATURE RESERVE
Early morning and meeting up at the main lodge with your guide and tracker for some coffee/tea and rusks
Depart from camp on your morning safari experience as the sunrises and the wildlife are active with a pit-stop for some coffee/tea in between the game drive while Africa’s wildlife surrounds you in the wilderness.
Return back to the camp +- 3-hours later for a well-deserved breakfast
Bid farewell and depart from Misava Safari Lodge on short scenic road transfer to Simbavati River Lodge
Upon arrival at Simbavati Lodge, staff will be waiting to welcome you and show you around the lodge before you settle into your comfortable Luxury Tented Suite.
Late afternoon/night game drive with a Mid-way stop for sundowners before returning back to Simbavati River Lodge by night fall.
Pre-dinner drinks – sit around the boma fire or bar while you socialise and talk of your amazing wildlife sightings.
Dinner is under the African night skies (Weather permitting)
Day 5-6
TIMBAVATI PRIVATE NATURE RESERVE
Early morning rise and meeting up at the main lodge with your guide and tracker for some coffee/tea and rusks before departing from camp on your morning safari experience as the sunrises and the wildlife are active with a pit-stop for some coffee/tea in between the game drive while Africa’s wildlife surrounds you in the wilderness.
Return back to the camp +- 3-hours later for a well-deserved breakfast with the rest of the day at your own leisure before lunch is served.
Late afternoon/night game drive with a Mid-way stop for sundowners before returning back to Simbavati River Lodge by night fall
Pre-dinner drinks while you sit around the boma fire or bar while you socialise and talk of your amazing wildlife sightings

Day 7
END OF ITINERARY
Early morning rise and meet up at the main lodge with your guide and tracker for some coffee/tea and rusks
Depart from camp on your morning safari experience as the sunrises and the wildlife are active with a pit-stop for some coffee/tea in between the game drive while Africa’s wildlife surrounds you in the wilderness.
Return back to the camp +-3-hours later for a well-deserved breakfast
Bid farewell and depart from Simbavati River Lodge for you connecting flight to OR Tambo and then Homebound

Situated on 3200 ha within the Klaserie Private Nature Reserve which is located adjacent to the Kruger National Park with no boundary fences between them, this select 12 bed camp offers families, friends and small business groups a truly private wild life experience.
Misava Safari Camp is a 5 star, fully inclusive camp which provides absolute luxury while retaining the charm and ambiance of a bygone safari era.
Simbavati River Lodge enjoys a unique setting on the banks of the Kruger Park’s Nhlaralumi River in the Timbavati Private Game Reserve.
One of its winning charms is the popular waterhole right below the dining deck, much loved by elephant. Between game drives, you could enjoy a game-viewing experience of note just sitting on the deck as wildlife comes and goes from the water.
This lodge has a broad appeal, with a traditional safari ambience but with a relaxed contemporary twist in terms of décor. You have a choice of tented or chalet accommodation. It caters well to couples and honeymooners with a safari spa and fully equipped fitness centre. Whilst its two-bedroom chalets and Cubs Club kids centre are popular with families.
The Timbavati forms part of the Greater Kruger Park and offers exceptional game viewing including all the Big Five, most notably leopard, and also wild dog.
